It is that time of year again where red-blooded women flock to the nearest mall to wade through the racks of America’s largest lingerie retailer, Victoria’s Secret, for the Semi-Annual Sale. Some know exactly what they are after, while others look for inspiration in their respective bra boxes. There are the women who leave with five huge bags, as though hoarding cheeky underwear and body mist for an apocalyptic crisis and there are women who leave disappointed that no amount of padding or push up will make them look like Adrianna or Giselle. Instead of trying to fill a void in your soul at Victoria’s Secret, it would be more prudent to identify what is missing in your wardrobe.
It seems that even the most glamorous woman can come home at night, kick off her sling-backs, unbutton her blouse and slink out of her skirt to put on sweatpants and put on a ratty old t-shirt; everyone has been guilty of this. While trying hard to look good to the outside world, often times our home wardrobe takes a back seat. It is time to reintroduce the concept of loungewear and sleepwear into our lives.
While it is good to look ones best for the public, the ultimate luxury is looking good in private; draping yourself in silk, satin, velvet and lace. There is a different relaxation that comes with unwinding in satin pajamas or a lace chemise. It’s the difference between eating a pint of Ben and Jerry’s with a spoon and having a sundae with a cherry on top. Every once in a while it is nice to be able to throw on a silk kimono and take an afternoon to oneself.
So before you drown in a sea of Bombshell bras and spend hours untangling thongs, take a glimpse at the loungewear and lingerie racks and treat yourself. After all, it’s on sale.

Loved the article and I was just thinking of hitting up Victoria Secret myself! Lol! My plan was to find something sexy to lounge in that would make me feel good since I just shed a few pounds. No Ben and Jerry’s for me though, thank you. :)
So descriptive. The visual was hysterical! Thanks for reminding me of their semi-annual sale by the way!!!
