Fashion’s Night Out

0 Comments 31 July 2012 | By

The World is getting ready, primping and priming itself for the most fashionable night of the year. On September 6th several cities in twenty countries, will host the most spectacular shopping experience ever. Some of the organized events will include live performances, exclusive limited-edition products, and celebrity appearances. The initiative began four years ago by Ms. Vogue herself, Anna Wintour and CFDA. The purpose being: to celebrate the industry, consumers, and help boost the economy.

Today it has become a shopping extravaganza erasing the line between shop owners, vendors, and designers in an attempt to build a unique relationship with the consumer. The beauty of the event is that it is not limited to retail. Several galleries and salons are also joining in on the fun.  Shoppers should expect some serious parties to happen. Jammed packed shops, flowing with music, food, and in some cases giveaways. Every participating city will have an exciting event planned out. London, L.A., NYC should be swarming with celebs, models, and top fashionistas. Lisbon will have a designated hop-on, hop-off bus following a “shopping route” and many cities have launched an official FNO line that will be available for purchase in the coming days.

There are less than 40 days and counting ‘till show time. In the weeks to come participating cities will reveal more about the itinerary and retailers, so you must stay tuned and continually check for updates on your preferred city’s official FNO website. Get excited, it’s every shopaholic’s dream night and the unofficial kick-off for fashion week.
